The brochure „Woman. Man. And much more.“ is an information brochure in simple language on sexuality, sexual orientation and gender identity for mentally challenged people. It is the first German brochure to address the topic in simple language and therefore making it accessible to people with learning disabilities. Initiated and translated by the association „Leichtlesen“ the brochure’s development process included a series of workshops together with the target audience and experts on sexual orientation and gender identity – The illustrations and design concept focus both on simplicity and the target audience’s desire to be addressed as adults and not as children. Within specific guidelines, such as the format, the line break and typography the design should be modern and appealing to all ages.
